Cheerio 2010

Well what a year that was
Plenty of fishing with the family and friends with new species caught a some cracking good laughs, some lovely days out especially when my Mother visited.
Photography taken off again and I am thoroughly enjoying it.
Some great beach days well over 30 at a guess.

There always is a down side though and my injections not working and causing more pain is one, Job centre not being able to help in any way is another.

I have made some new acquaintanceships through VVOC and one very good friend in Dave whom I wish has a very special 2011 after a difficult 2010 especially now he has moved back up North and many thanks for all the work done on my car even though you have deserted us ;-)

A very dear friend suffered a heart attack so Jase I wish for you too have a wonderful 2011 and a good health for all the family.

To Luc I hope to see more of you this year and wish you a great new year and I hope you crack on and enjoy your courses and hobbies and look after Tammi xx

New friendships are being forged in a new forum I have joined to all the best to the Bridge camera forum.
All the best to existing, past and new Fish simmers and I hope to be more active in 2011.
To the Fuji forum happy new year and thanks for all your C&C which will aid my skills.
To all my friends on FB I wish you all a very happy new year and a safe and healthy 2011.

To my wife, Liam, James and Jessica thankyou for another year of support and love and I look forward to a better year in 2011.

all the best to you all

That time off year

Here we are again the time to make all children get over excited and eat way to much chocolate, I wish you all a very merry Christmas and to all my friends I hope you have a safe and healthy one with plenty off lovely pressies.

I have a tale off irony I have spent all week trying not to fall over on ice and end up slipping over getting in the shower so in a bit off pain especially left leg but hey as I say ironic.

Have a great time and have a drink for me as I can't boo hiss.

To my Mother a very Happy 70th Birthday today and we all love you loads so enjoy your day xxxxxxx.

To my Dad I feel you with us all and we love and miss you so very much, merry Christmas Dad xxxxxxx.

all the best

Hi all...... hope your not too chilly.

Sunday jumped on the bikes and rode to Radipole reserve and took some snaps one of which I have entered a comp to win my dream HS10 (see post below).

Still have not been fishing as back is killing me but I must get out soon or I will forget how to do it, my inspiration at the moment is Henry Gilbey's enthusiasm  which I will say actually got me sea angling in the 1st place.
The chap is and awesome photographer and not a bad angler also but does have to suffer trips to hot sticky climates rather than fish his local waters ..poor soul ;-) Check out his site HERE.

Liam is desperate to get his doggy but not desperate to freeze to death for it, which leads me on to a question, I was gifted a full body floatation suit last year but the kids sizes are the same price as adults, whats going on it's half the material used ?

Liam had a small achievement yesterday when a Robin fed from his hand whilst James had a great panto playing Dopey and looked awesome.

This week more photography and perhaps some fishing .

Oh check out this Bridge camera forum which is growing at a steady rate bridge camera users well worth a visit and indeed join if you use a bridge camera.

take care

Pat

Chilly week

Well the snow did come to Weymouth and stuck about for 24 hours but the cold is still across the UK so things are still a bit white in the mornings, I took over 200 photo's (thanks for digital) over a few days but mainly on the main snow day.

The majority came out like typical holiday snaps and don't have much class at all but some I am fairly pleased with the results on the S1800.
Taken on Dorchester road, Weymouth best angle due to traffic and posts.
Lodmoor reserve path early evening whilst walking with James

Liam has had no football so Sunday had a nice wander and got a few close shots of a Heron and saw some nice birds of prey, a hungry Robin fed from my chilled fingers and a colourful blue tit lit up the grasses, it was lovely and sunny but got nippy again so headed home for a nice hot brew.

As for fishing I am hoping to get out soon but my pain levels are up and don't want to push it but I am desperate for Liam to have his 1st Dogfish so will let him have the rods until he gets one (hope it is not  too long before I get a go).

Have a great week and be safe

No show for snow....yet !!!

Hi all
Hope you are enjoying the "big" freeze.....we have been told to expect snow here in Weymouth but apart from the old sprinkling it goes within and hour or so.
I have been watching the videos for better snow pictures just in case, I managed to get down Radipole yesterday and was shown a "Water Rail" (rare bird for here) and did take about 30 pictures but all were not very good so may have to pop there again today on the way to get James from school.
I did however get a closer shot of a Heron but still needed full zoom SEE BELOW.
I am going to try my 2.2 telephoto later and will see what happens.
Still no car as no funds for battery so pain levels are up but hey the weather is suppose to be barmy at the weekend up to around 8 or 9 degrees so maybe a beach day swim (NOT).
Heron below on the ice but the hot chocolate and hospitality at the RSPB centre was 2nd to none.
Take care
